The Samba Knowledge Graph: Powering the Next Generation of Media Intelligence

The attention economy is increasingly fragmented across more screens than any previous era - hundreds of channels and streaming services alongside dozens of apps, social platforms, and digital touchpoints.  For brands and media companies, the challenge isn't a shortage of data. It's a shortage of connected intelligence.  At Samba, we know the future of media depends on moving beyond fragmented, one-dimensional data. In this environment, organizations must adopt a richer intelligence layer that brings together context, relationships, and meaning.

The Samba Knowledge Graph (SKG) is our answer.

Samba sits on an extraordinary foundation – hundreds of billions of TV viewing events, web interactions at a global scale, and a unique identity spine connecting them all. The Samba Knowledge Graph is the unified semantic intelligence layer over Samba's first-party data, encoding relationships across TV viewership, web behavior, identity, content, ad exposure, and socio-demographic signals all anchored by our SambaID. Together, these behavioral signals provide a comprehensive picture; capturing how audiences actually engage over time, what they care about, and why they engage.

Unlike a traditional ID graph, SKG doesn't just resolve identity – it models behavior, context, and the relationships between them, and can reason over those relationships natively.

That capability unlocks an entirely new class of audience intelligence. Clients can now build behavioral audiences that fuse TV content signals with web behavior that are privacy-safe, contextually rich, and far beyond what a demographic filter can produce. They can access GNN-derived semantic segments like "Premium Content Enthusiasts with Luxury Auto Intent" defined by actual cross-platform behavioral patterns, not age and gender buckets. SKG provides deterministic TV-to-web attribution that tracks the consumer journey without relying on cookies. Clients can now anticipate behavior rather than just describe it, predicting lifecycle signals like a new parent or prospective homebuyer from combined viewing and web patterns, and reaching those households at exactly the right moment.

SKG is also the foundation for Samba's AI capabilities. It enables LLMs to reason over verified, structured, real-world knowledge rather than raw data, to minimize hallucinations and make AI outputs trustworthy in production. It powers Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), grounding natural language queries in real behavioral intelligence. It is the backbone for the agentic AI workflows that will define the next era of media and marketing – systems that don't just surface insights, but act on them autonomously, at scale.

In a world where attention is fragmented and AI is reshaping every layer of decision-making, those who can unify scale, context, and intelligence into a single connected system will be the industry leaders.

Knowledge Graphs are not just part of the future of AI. They are the infrastructure that will power it. Samba is investing in building that foundation now.
